Ingredients
|
Cauliflower 1 medium Mustard oil 2 1/2 tablespoon Mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon Fenugreek seeds (methi dana) 1/4 teaspoon Fennel seeds (saunf) 1/2 teaspoon Onion seeds (kalonji) 1/4 teaspoon Coriander seeds, crushed 1 teaspoon Asafoetida 1/4 teaspoon Onion ,chopped 1 medium Ginger paste 1 tsp Garlic paste 1 tsp Green chilli, chopped 2 Salt to taste Yogurt 1 cup |

Directions

Separate the cauliflower into large florets.
Heat the mustard oil to smoking point in a kadai; add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, fennel seeds, onion seeds, crushed coriander seeds and asafoetida, and sauté till they begin to change colour.
Add the onion and sauté till translucent.
Add the ginger paste, garlic paste and green chillies and sauté till the onions turn light brown.
Add the cauliflower and salt and sauté over medium heat till brown.
Add the turmeric powder and one cup of water and cook, covered, for ten to fifteen minutes, or till cooked.
Add the yogurt and continue to cook till the water evaporates and the gravy coats the cauliflower. Serve hot. |
